Talent has nothing to do with it.

When was the last time you tried something new, and thought that you would never get the hang of it?
So many of us tend to immediately reject any activities that we're not instantly amazing at. We think if it doesn't come naturally then it's not meant for us.
Plans for the Future

This thinking is so flawed! The truth is, it is a very rare thing for someone to instantly be good at art (or anything else for that matter). Most people spend years working at it.
I've had people say to me, "you're so talented, I could never do something like that."
It's not about talent! It's about persistence and the desire to keep working at it.

Think about how you felt on your first day at your job. Regardless of how experienced you are, you're going to feel like a fish out of water until you settle in and find your rhythm. It's the same for anything. If you keep at it, over time what seemed so unnatural and difficult and scary can become just another skill in your ARSENAL.
You are compiling so many skills that you probably don't even acknowledge. And everything that you are amazing at today was probably initially something that terrified you.
When is the last time you got out of your comfort zone and worked hard for something, even when it didn't come naturally?
